Thanks, Jimmy. The beauty of living in Los Angeles is year-round gardening. No hoop house necessary. Things slow way down in the winter (i just focus on lettuce and carrots) but in February, things start getting pretty exciting. Can you grow during a Chicago winter in a hoop house? amazing!
Oops! I got the idea you were in Illinois somehow! My mistake.
There is a local farmer around here that has a few items such as spinach growing year round in an unheated (well, solar) hoop house. We’re in west-central IL.
Thanks, Julie! It’s great to hear from you. Things are really taking off in the heat now. I’ve got another crop of carrots coming and I just pulled a bunch of garlic. Photos to come.

Looks great! You have a hoop house or some other magic to have produce like this done in Chicago already this year?

These are lovely — especially to someone who just bought packets of ready-to-cook veggies at Marks & Spencers for nuking!
